Well, It's my 1st post in of year 2008!

Yesterday saw Gillian and I at marina square. Clara pangseh-ed us last minute and louisa said she had work to finish. We watched 'National Treasure Book of secrets" and it was NICE! We bought two shirts each, one at this bold-letters-on-the-front-of-the-shirt shop and another at This Fashion at kembangan mrt while we were waiting for louisa. I bought a shirt that says "Addicted to Shopping!" even when I'm not there yet, as in so ADDICTED yet. not yet=) I think. Another shirt is for $6. The prev one is $20 for 2. So Gillian and I shared.

I received 3 Christmas presents; blue bag purse from clara, winnie in Santa outfit keychain from louisa and erm..mocha flavoured lip balm from gillian. Haha. I also received 2 belated birthday presents...gillian gave me a chain with pink accessories on the side=) and louisa gave me a coffee bear keychain that is equipped as a torch too.=)

My new year resolutions:

  1. Pass my grade 5 piano theory and practical (hopefully with distinction)
  2. Do my best in dance
  3. Not exceed 15 points for L1R5 in all terms
  4. Try to grow taller
  5. Practise piano and dance more
  6. Be more gracious and humble
  7. Be kinder
  8. Think before I act
  9. Make more friends
  10. Learn to take things in my stride
  11. Try to be happy everyday
  12. Don't overwork and turn grumpy=)

May my friends, family and people in my life be blessed with happiness and health in 2008!

Now to excuse me, I need to get through the mountainous load of revision before I get slaughtered by the teachers tomorrow.

My father woke me up at 5.15a.m. in the morning. Mornings are always cold. How I wish to snuggle back under the covers.

We reached golden mile complex at around 6.08a.m. It was still cold then. My mother queued up for this card thing which we were supposed to fill in with our particulars. My father was not coming with us. He had a company dinner that night. So my mother's sister (aka my aunt) came instead.

Our first destination was to stop for breakfast! My sister and I had roti prata with milo for breakfast. Then we bought sweets at a shop beside the coffeeshop. We were already in Malaysia then.

Then we sat in the bus for a 1 and a half hour journey to a restaurant for lunch. There were chilli crabs and a lobster for each. Don't be too happy.. The "lobster" was only about 6cm long. And you can't eat the legs.. so actually it's only 3cm..

It was ostrich farm next! There were shit all around cos birds don't recognise toilets. I was a little afraid though; they were quite tall..like as tall as two classical guitars stacked vertically on top of each other. And they can peck people.. They don't have teeth though, but height was enough intimidation=). The whole place stank like newly fertilised crops.
Bought half an ostrich egg and a stand to put it on. Can decorate it and put things inside. The egg is quite big.. and hard. You can stand on it. Because the ostriches are already tame, they don't know how to peck their eggs open so the farmers have to drill it open. If not, the chick will die when it can't leave the eggshell.

It was fruit farm next. We listened to a talk about bees and honey. There are three types of bees in a colony; the worker bee, the male bee, and the female queen bee. All worker bees are female (unfair) and can live up to 45 days. The male bee will have to mate with the queen bee to produce more bees. Upon doing that, it will die and go to heaven. So fortunate. Waiting all day for the worker bees to feed them and die only after they've enjoyed the sexual pleasure of life. The queen bee lives to a ripe old age of 7 to 8 years. This is because they eat royal jelly. The rest of the bees only eat pollen and nectar. I wonder if the male bees have extra-maritial affairs.. But they can only do it once right? Hmmm...

There was a small animal farm inside the fruit farm. I carried rabbits and roosters. Haha. They were so nice to touch!! There were geese and small lambs too.. There were two monkeys tethered to a tree trunk each with a metal chain. One of them had enough food and was hiding under a man-made wooden roof. So we fed the other one with sweets bought earlier in the morning. It was so cute! We just held out our hand and the monkey would climb down and take it from our out-stretched palms! We tried throwing a sweet to see if the monkey knew how to catch. Haha, but it bounced off its nose and fell to the ground.. Afterwards, we went to feeed the fishes.. They nibbled at my hand for a while when I lowered the pellets down. There were so many of them!

There was dinner and then time for a boat ride! We were going to see firefiles at Kota Tinggi. At first, we could only see a few of them, lights buzzing here and there, but as night fell on earth as a dark silent blanket, more and more of them came out and they were so breath-takingly beautiful! They lit up the entire tree! We felt as though christmas was here and we were looking at christmas trees.. The only thing that I felt was irritating was the flash lights of cameras. I remembered coming across an essay about this problem in school. But there were also people who said "Don't take photos!" when there were flashes.

(The boat trip reminded me of OBS. I still remember snips and snatches of our days spent there. It was the most memorable experience for me. )

It was fun that day. 3 days to china! WHEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey people, I got my nineteen minutes by jodi picoult!

We were planning to go to sentosa today, but it rained in the morning, so we canceled the trip there. I had beehoon, egg, nuggets, steamed sausages, lettuce and malay potato for lunch today. Nata de coco and canned longan for dessert=)

I kinda accidentally poked myself with the needle today..

I'm still addicted to jodi picoult, christmas presents that are books authored by her are WELCOME, except for my sister's keeper and nineteen minutes!=) I want to read salem falls and perfect match. Or maybe even songs from the humpback (or how do you spell it) whale..

Speaking of presents, haven't gotten fishcake's birthday present yet! And also the christmas present that we were supposed to give. Like crats, we decided that each will buy one gift and we would pass it around and each of us would end up with a gift from others.=)

Back to my video game!

DO you think I should change my blogskin? I think I'm quite tired of it already...any suggestions of the theme??
well...boo, having new form teachers next year! It's like..gonna be so .... .... I dunno, not nice?

We had our 2e6 class party on the 6th of dec. Only about 13 people turned up=) haha. But I think it was quite nice and fun! We had junk food and a slice of pizza each for lunch. Also coke and root beer. We watched this M18 show in the function room and afterwards, when we couldn't stand it anymore, we switched to another show which is suitable for us. It's about dance. DANCE DANCE! haha.

There were red ants in one of the cups halfway through. One went up on my back. Either christy or hui jie helped me swiped it off. Couldn't really see cos they turned off the lights.

Reached home around 9. Had brewed peanuts soup. So nice..

The world is actually quite a dangerous place, with many trap holes and ambushes. It's just like a game of chess. One wrong move and CHECKMATE! You'll regret it for the rest of your life. But don't you guys think it can rather be like gameS of chess instead? Cos there are precious lessons in life that we learn. From these we learnt how when to trust our instincts and how to differ rights from wrongs.

There are many ways to look at this.

Firstly, when one in a game of chess, plays a wrong move, but doesn't have the perseverance to make it right, the player just sinks deeper and deeper into his mistake. Similarly, in life, if we make mistakes in life, but do not have the courage to admit them, or atone for them, but continue headstrong into it, the "soup just gets hotter and hotter", doesn't it?

Secondly, when one admits defeat in a game of chess, doesn't one learn from their mistakes? One will bound to do better when challenged with a second game. Doesn't that apply to life too? Imagine if you're a toddler and new to the world and things in it. You accidentally touch a burning kettle. Well, now that you know that action creates pain, you wouldn't be repeating it unless you're a sadist, would you now?

There are many ways we can look at life, but sometimes when I'm really confused and blurry and tired of the antics of mankind and their despicable ways, I just try to think about love that exists and embraces each of us from God and Jesus Christ=)
