I had never felt so anxious before. I wonder how I'm going to be like when I collect my results.We were kinda like gathered outside the classroom at the corridor anxiously waiting for our form teacher to arrive. There were only a few of us la.. laura, karen, dhwani, me, michelle, kailing, maybe somemore.. I was so VERY VERY anxious ok.. then i was the third to receive my results. When amelia collected hers she jumped and shrieked on the spot. It did nothing to calm me down. Then it was MY TURN.....*drum roll. When I looked at my result slip I was SOOOO HAPPPY!!!!! You get the picture. But at the same time, due to the relief I felt from the building anxiety, I almost cried... There are some friends who didn't do as well. Chinese lessons will become dull without you guys in class. It's ok. You can re-take your chinese and I believe you can do so well that the two points from hcl is not needed. All in all, it's not the end of the world. Jia you and I love you guys! Our school did quite well this year la..it was the best in 10 years. But..I think that's because schools like rgs and ri didn't take part in O levels this year. They took something else or IP or something, I'm not that sure. That's well we kinda like improved. Do you get it? Because we are (honestly) one of the better schools and if the competitors are away it kinda makes us rise in ranking.... It has been SO hectic recently, so much that my low blood pressure is acting up again. When it becomes serious, I can only look to the front. Sides, floor, and ceiling/sky is off limits. I can't lie down without seeing a spinning room either... Today we went to Tricia's house to celebrate Manda and Cat's birthday. Haha. Maybe I will post the videos we took. Had too much fun.. A break from all that studying and killing of brain cells. After all, we must believe in the century-old saying that laughter is the best medicine..=) Sunday, January 20, 2008
School is of many interpretations to me.School is of friends, of chattings, of gossip, fun and laughter. School contains much misery, pressure, backstabbings. School if filled with excitment, wonder and amusement. School causes tears of laughter, tears of sadness. School sounds of shrieks, shouts, yells and screams. School is of receiving love, care and touching scenes. School is a place for making friends, enemies as well. School is of toilet-paperless mornings and running for recess. School is of gatherings at the toilet during lesson intervals, and laughter amongst friends between cubicles. School is the fun of giving gifts during Valentine's and receving presents on my birthday. School is singing of the typical tkgs birthday cheer-cum-song regularly for my classmates, and receiving the same thing on my birthday. School is of endless worksheets and frustrating files. School is of teachers, funny, irritating, amusing and lovable. School is the time when birds don't even start to sing in the trees. School is of activities, CCAs and remedials. School is of falling down, and getting up again. School may not be a perfect place, but it holds too many dear memories for me. What about you? Saturday, January 12, 2008
The second week of school was rushed, hurried and stressing.Basically, malay starts, piano lessons start and CAs and tests start streaming in. There was Maths CA, geog graded assessment and english CA last week. Besides adjusting back to the stressful schedule we have, I also got to know our co-form teacher better. And the feelings are NEGATIVE. Well, dance starts on the 3rd week and green audits already have meetings. So I have these commitments: MSP DANCE (CCA AND DANCE COM) GREEN AUDITS PIANO The following is for her: So be considerate and don't force us to do what we can't take up. You're not even thoughtful of us. Cos she was forcing, literally, us to sign up for library reps. Anyway, I'm anticipating the start of dance again. Yesterday saw us at Tampines Mall's Seoul Garden enjoying lunch due to the courtesy of Mrs Lim-Neo. She was giving us a treat. We had Swenson's last year. I like the terriyaki and garlic chicken. The beef kept sticking on the hotplate. Haha. They had 5 choices of ice-cream. DELICIOUS! Thanks mrs lim!!! Back to books..=( Saturday, January 05, 2008
The first week of school.It was enjoying, for some moments like the party we had, but pressurising, since maths ca will be upon us on wednesday and english on friday. Mrs Liew became our form teacher this year. She was our chemistry teacher last year. At first we got to choose how we seat, but in the end she wasn't satisfied with seeing all the locals being seated at the back and scholars in front. So she kindly rearranged us. The new seating arrangement works pretty fine for me. Shi Hui is on my immediate left, shi yuan immediate front, sharon at the back and Yi Bo on my right. I'm seating at the second row, third column from the left. We got our reflections log. It is not very nice, as usual. The newly arrived juniors are so miniature! Haha. I bet I wasn't as small when I came in because I only grew 3 cm since sec 1 and I'm still taller than a lot of them now... Haha. Maybe they belong to the group of late bloomers? =) Anticipating o level results for chinese. Got into the not so good class for higher chinese again. They divided us again...sigh.... I finally spent my $25 kino voucher that the school presented to me during prize-giving last year in april...haha. I bought a book titled "English Vocabulary in Use (Advanced)". It costed me $31.57 dollars. I still had to top up. I didn't want to buy a storybook. I wanted something I could use for life and constantly use it to make it worth my voucher. =) You can't constantly read a storybook, it takes the interest out of the story. And the other books about military, life sciences and medicine and whatnot were too much beyond my capability to understand. I think they might confuse me even further instead. So I chose that book. There are others which are cheaper, but erm....we know most of the words already, so there's no point in buying them, and some are more like dictionaries... Sharon like forgot to bring her vouchers..Haha. Afterwards we went to Mos Burger for food..=D Went home and slept... Today, bright sunny day and I WILL revise on my maths. Bye=) |
