dear friends, tomorrow is a day we embark on a journey of short-lived salvation. To be frank, we can't actually count it as salvation, since we have to implement our "break" with rigid discipline of revision and hmwk. Sigh. Well, at least I'm better off than some of you guys, since our dance instructor miraculously allowed us to truly enjoy the hols by resuming dance practice only when term 2 starts. I just read a little of my first national geographic magazine, and it was said that the "natural disasters" were worst than ever. Examples would include the heat waves that killed many in country A, floods in country B and increased frequency of monsoon rains in India. (They were labelled country A and B cos I forgot the proper address for those countries) I think that mankind is really depleting the Earth's natural resources at such an incredibly quick rate that nature somehow wants to fight back by eliminating us. I think I'm getting affected by the recent death note 3 movie, but if you really think about it, these natural disasters that claimed so many lives would actually reduce usuage of eletricity and paper and whatnot since they would not be here to deplete these natural resources. Loss of lives are a great pity. However, humans do have to face the wrath of nature. These calamities that we somehow claim to be "natural", is actually the cause of our many actions that continue to worsen the environmental condition of the Earth. The actions of the present generation would deeply affect the many future generations to come. Well, an example of not treasuring the resources we have now is by yours truly using the computer with lamps/lights switched on. I think we are all too comfortable with the present situations to stop now, so the biggest hope would be for other many Einsteins to develop an alternative for each of the natural resources that we would run out of someday or another. May humans co-exist in peace and harmony with nature one day. On a brighter note, our three friends returned from Malaysia today=) I'm meeting ( I think) my friends on Sunday, but my family is going to my maternal grandmother's house on the same day too. I will put myself to follow a relaxed but disciplined revision routine that would be implemented starting from Monday. Tuesday is a break since we are celebrating You Fang's birthday at taka's Seoul Garden=) Sharon, LP and I will be heading towards Singapore Polytechnic on Saturday to start lessons there in term 2 because we have so incredible brains that we have already done our O-levels. haha. we wish. It's for a science course that we paid $27 for=) that's all. See ya! P.S. Don't forget, www.designersonshift.blogspot.com! |
